“Surprise! How could I forget it?”
O boy, it was enough to decorate my dull face,
Smiled, jumped and fisted in the air.
The best day would be more than just fair!
Twisting in my bed, swaying in mood,
Picturing the scene, plainly I was!
A happy tear came up to the brink, for all I could,
Controlled it and texted ‘Yeah will be there’ .
Night went by, stood hopefully before morning sun,
Prayed to god, as usual for her smile,
Went to the rendezvous, much before time,
Tidying my hair, putting brakes to my increasing smile!
The moment she came, “Finally, u are Eighteen!
Congratulations once again”, a blunder smile by me,
Crowded transport, for which she wasn’t so keen,
Took to walking, “best means for a teen”, chorused we.
Seven hundred meters, too short it felt!
Surroundings soon blurred in the conversation,
For special friends met, three years a long stretched belt!
Distant studies obviously meant lack of communication.
Words seldom oozed out, I appreciated,
The carved creation of god, most times
To preserve the same, always prayed,
And deliver it a source to smile all of the times.
The devilish coffee couldn’t create a difference,
Lips and Eyes, both independently talking,
So much to express, utilizing the time made sense.
Surprise treat was great joy, so as the walking!
But not all will end so soon, as I hoped,
We started the walk again, after a quick photo click,
All sorts of talks, confessions, memoirs popped,
Relived the sweet old days, these memories solid as a brick.
Reaching the destination, we finished our walk,
Goodbyes and take care, words like these started to show up,
Who says coffee brings two people close quarters,
For we special buddies, blissful walk is all that matters!
