"Desh Mere, desh mere,

Meri jaan hain tu"

We feel it,

But we don't realise it,

We keep pointing out,

Thousands of mistakes,

We keep shouting,

On the worsening state,

Of the country.

But when an outsider,

Points that out,

Or feels pitty on us,

Calls out by disgusting names,

We stand strong and look at them,

Showing our fierce.

Never to be judged,

Never to be neglected,

We believe in Unity,

We support each other's dignity,

Glorifying morality.

We think we are different,

But Neeraj Chopra's medal,

Was for all Indian,

26/11 still hits hard,

In the heart of Indians.

We accept life partners,

With flaws and faults,

The same attitude should remain,

Towards our country too.

From freedom struggle,

To having defecation system,

Sometime retrogressive,

Sometime progressive,

We need to accept them all,

Don't ditch country,

Just for few people you dislike,

The representatives are for sometime,

But country will be with us forever.

Patriotism is not for a particular day,

It is for lifelong,

Dedication towards country,

Loyalty towards each other,

Caring country property,

Respecting ideologies,

Is how we can develop our nation,

Is how we should celebrate every occasion.

With a wide smile,

And a relaxed mind,

Open your arms,

And greet each other,

Celebrate the day,

With happiness and enthusiasm,
