We exchange stares
For it is only I who can
See right through the layers
Of concealed scars alike
That we both share
And I keep falling
And then drowning in
Deeply and passionately
Again too quickly out of love
With that familiar face
That I often envisage
As I pass by
The broken spotted mirror
Sometimes we speak
Usually late at nights
Of feigned assurances
In incomplete sentences
But mostly in silence
Of unfilled blanks
And of awkward pauses
We do find our comfort
I've seen her baby toes
The one sitting on my face
Also resembles her nose
I've seen her crawl,
I've seen her fall,
I've seen her grow
A bit distant,
And a lot more tall
I've seen her gain
I've felt her pain
Over year after year
Into her eyes I stare
Two pathways leading
Into a dreamy universe
Of thousand gleaming stars
Soon dimmed into a void
And now trapped
Behind solid metal bars
Living in the present
To me she became
A ghost from the past
A feeling unsettling
Creeps under my skin
I've known her little
I've known her none.
We were once close
Perhaps,
I've let the knot loose
To build from the ashes
I leave her with a promise
To stand by her smiles
To share all her cries
The next time when
I pass by the mirror
And fall for her once more
I'll love her soul
I'll love her whole.
So beautiful:)
