Hard to breathe
No way to heal…
If only I was happy with what I need
Now I have no more wants,
Except a healthy meal.
Bits and browns left in my plate
I would like some more colours and greens
But now, it’s too late
Here hardly grows any lettuce, legumes or beans.
Easy to learn
The names in front of me
There’s as many as those in a farm
Animals too less to count, so less to see.
I wish I could share some knowledge
But even toddlers know as much as me
Rarely a being swims ashore the ocean’s edge
Now I cry waters so salty
Had we only tried saving thee!
Had we protected our biodiversity…
Nature, we have wronged thee,
Have some mercy
Let all life be free
Which we never really let you be.
