Things have changed. It is as if the air has stopped blowing, like the ocean is still, like the sky has no longer been bright. There is a sudden change of hearts, feelings stronger than ever. Helpless, everyone of us is. Save yourself from this pain, to save me. The world can do it's job, we will hide and never be seen. Waves don't touch my feet, the sun doesn't burn my back anymore. The wind doesn't play with my hair, no more. Let's go back in time, to the time when the streets of the city felt like home. Let's go back to Ghat, to watch the summer sun, hitting the water. So many things left unsaid, let me hug you just once. Let me brush your hair and kiss you. Take away your pain. We will run, barefoot, under the summer sun, chasing the wind, again. Times will change for you and me. Pain will end.
Everything we believe in has fallen apart. All that remains are sick minds, looking for a ray of hope, a hope for holding on. If it was not real, would it hurt the way it does? Words don't come out anymore, breathing does all the speaking. To see the charm you carry is all I wish for now. Do me a favor and keep yourself strong for a tomorrow that is far. We will live, in the coffee cups of cafes, in the streets leading to no direction, in the car dropping melted ice cream, we will live. Upon the hill top, watching the city winds blowing, we will live.
Hope is a dangerous thing.
Neha (remember me as the waves touching your feet, cold but happy.)
