Labourers;
We don’t thank them,
Neither do we greet.
They work,
Night and day,
Their lives bittersweet.
“Frontline Workers!”
Our government says,
“They should help us,
And save the day!”
They are heroes in our minds,
In our hearts,
And in our lives.
Labourers;
Where were you when they needed you?
Where were your well wishes before the disaster?
They are heroes saving your lives.
Respect them every day,
Each day of your pathetic lives!
They are humans much like you are.
They need to be saved much like you.
Don’t be selfish and gloat in your success.
Don’t be aloof and ignore the wrong.
Be a human and be kind.
They are humans too.
A word of advice,
Help one or two!
