You hated that monotonous song,
I tried not to keep repeating it for so long.
You want it to get out,
And I tried because I didn't want you to shout.
You hated that scribbled piece of paper,
For you crumple was another wasted wrapper.
I imagined my numb hands shivering,
That dealt with enough pleasing.
Your perception behind iconoclasm,
Made sure you talk with sarcasm.
Standing under the dark diamond sky in agony;
Prayed if the slow steady grind still working stubbornly
against monotony.
But the quivering lid of your averted eye;
Proved your patent of love to a sigh.
