I am like the dark, gloomy night
And you, the brightest of daylight
In twilight of dusk and of dawn
Is where our worlds collide.
As one sets in and the other fades,
When the hour belongs to none,
We meet momentarily.
Twice, but never enough
For a few seconds you admire
From afar, the other end of the sky.
Before you could extend your arms,
Drifting along the clouds,
Desperately to reach me
I would have vanished away
Slowly into the engulfing sun rays
Without saying goodbye.
I am to you
The last days of winter,
And you the setting spring.
My dying leaves, marking my farewell
As they touch the parched earth
You take over.
Bestowing upon the branches
Blossoms of red, lilac, pink
And buds of sprouting green.
We are like the sea and the horizon.
Appears to those hopeful eyes,
A distant point of unison.
All but a beautiful illusion.
Like lightening and the thunder
One follows the other
Missing the moment
Yet by another couple of seconds,
Never to be together.
You and I are like the colors black and white.
Complementing your shiny light,
My empty darkness, you highlight.
Yet never dissolving together
Into a dull gray mixture.
You and I are like sand and waves.
Washing at your shores,
I keep coming back to you .
Until the strings of destiny pulls us part.
Separating and going back to our own ways
Just like oil and water,
Forming a temporary emulsion.
Realization sets in a terrible anguish.
Our lives are linked but not entangled.
We were meant to meet
And perhaps never unite.
And again.
In so much love with this one. Came here to read this again.
Wow! Just wow!
