Little by little as the time passes,
I live in the present finding causes,
For the blunders of the past,
Excuses that I projected to escape,
Mistakes that I made to evade,
A situation that was well controllable,
A moment that could be rememberable,
Alas! Scared I was to face,
The truth embedded in the race,
To excel than the next one,
To better than the kin of my own,
In search of others' appreciation,
I lost my own recognition,
Not the one I was two decades ago,
I am now someone they want me to be,
Days pass, Seasons pass, Years pass,
But stuck in one phase will I always be
For I didn't become what I was made to.
I am no better than a lifeless effigy
With no choice of creating an existence.
Loved it.
Your words speak to me personally! Another beautiful piece, Uma Di ❤️
